As Negative As It Gets: Hillary Compares Obama to Bush?!?

1/6/08, 12:38 pm EST

TRANSCRIPT: Democratic Debate

CLINTON: He’s very likable [Obama]. I agree with that…. You know, in 2000 we, unfortunately, ended up with a president who people said they wanted to have a beer with; who said he wanted to be a uniter, not a divider; who said that he had his intuition and he was going to, you know, really come into the White House and transform the country. And, you know, at least I think there are the majority of Americans who think that was not the right choice.

UPDATE: She’s at it again:

“I think it’s good to have a likeable president. But if I remember right, many people said they wanted to have a beer with George W. Bush. Maybe they should’ve left it at that – have a beer, don’t vote him in as our president.”

the DP of that debate was crushing on Obama, doing constant close ups of his face and hands. it was kind of turning me on, kidding!

too bad Disney Co. shut Kucinich out of the debate, he was met with rockstar applause outside of the venue last night, of course mainstream media wont show you that. but you tube will!

Dennis has support in NH. watch and learn! he will not be dropping out of this!

Chillary, will stay in after Obama wins tuesday. Her campaign will last till Febuary after super and super duper tuesday. Its possible for Clinton INC to make a comeback. Stop the dynasty!

Goes to show that she’ll say anything she needs to to get elected. If the positions were reversed I’m sure Obama would be saying something similar. Which puppet do you like more?

Actually, I’ve slept on this, and she’s right. I’m not sure if she is comparing Obama to Bush so much as she is comparing the Obama voters to Bush voters in so much as we need to look at a friggen resume before we hire someone.

Now I like Obama, he’s all young and energetic, ok he’s a rockstar but in reality, he just graduated from the mail room of politics.

Now this is not to say that Clinton has a glowing resume. I’m not voting for her. But she does have a point. Obama makes us all starry-eyed and “hopeful” (well those of us who aren’t completely cynical and jaded by now) but we need to make sure he REALLY has the goods. Because Bush made us want to go hang out on the ranch and spit in the dirt and what not but little did we know this cowboy could not ride a horse, because we didn’t do our homework.

If we really want the anti-bush candidate, we KNOW we have to trust our vote to Kucinich.

You want the guy with the most experience? Vote Richardson.

People need to just turn off the tv and start reading these candidates records. Seriously, Clinton is right, Obama and Huckabee are the new Bush circa 2000. If not, their voters are the new Bush voters circa 00.

Read a book people. Or a magazine ;)

Ms. Hillary may not have had that beer with Bush, but she sure drank his Kool-Aid and voted for all his war spending bills. At least he’s a likable warmonger, as will she be if given opportunity.

In 2000 we elected a president whose only real asset was his last name.

We are scary people! All heart and sentiment willing to gamble on unknowns. If Obama is our next president, we may have it worse. We have no track record to go by. Who will be his advisors? Just hope and pray America is doing the right thing. Is he ready?
