Kucinich is asking his Iowa supporters to back Barack as a second choice if he [Kucinich] isn’t viable in their respective precincts. This is a real blow for Edwards who has hitched his nomination hopes on the left-flank of the Democratic base.

Tim, you are working hard this weekend, they should give you a raise!
This whole voting thing is getting more confusing by the minute. I thought we just go and pull a lever.

Oh, and Nader tips his hat to Edwards, what is that about?!
Looks like “anyone but hillary” is going full speed ahead

Kucinich is throwing his support to Obama??
And this from a man who took a “PIE” chart to a radio debate, so he could help get his point across to the listeners!!

Over the Holidays, I’ve spent a total of 15 hours on trains, the majority of that time ( 12 hours ) was spent on the bullet train that runs from London to New York.
Needless to say, I had a ” WORKING HOLIDAY “, and I ” CHOSE ” to take the TRAIN instead of a JET, do to my concern over the “CARBON FOOTPRINT” left by modern air traffic and my enjoyment of taking the train.
Over the Years I’ve taken many Trans-Atlantic and Trans-Pacific trips via train, and on those trips I’ve met many people, some of them left more of an impression on me than others, but none left the impression that Mr./ Ms. Robert / Roberta M. Langston did.
Mr. / Ms. Langston was a person that, on the surface, one would say was a “TROUBLED” individual, when in fact, Mr. / Ms. Langston is one of the few people I’ve met that knew exactly what he/she wanted..
Mr. / Ms. Langston was born on March 15, 1973, as a male baby, in East London.
Born into a Middle Class family, Mr. Langston attended school, went to Collage, and become a successful Investment Banker for Mackner Billip and Gruber.
Mr. Langston was very happy with his life until he reached 30 years of age.
It happened on a vacation trip to the French Riviera, on a nude beach.
Mr. Langston found himself in a very awkward position, Mr. Langston found that he had no place to keep his keys….
The regular places one keeps their keys at a nude beach, on a wrist band for example, were not satisfying for Mr. Langston. He didn’t feel that was the proper place to keep his keys.
Later on, in the hotel bar, Mr. Langston met Susan McKenny.
That meeting changed his life.
Ms. McKenny told Mr. Langston what she did with her keys, after Mr. Langston told her of his concern over car keys.
That’s when it dawned on Mr. Langston, He must have a Sex Reassignment Operation!!
By Mid 2005, Mr. Robert M. Langston had become Ms. Roberta M. Langston.
After almost a year of physical therapy, ” Roberta ” found that not only did she have a place to keep her keys, but there was room for flip flops, and if she walked slowly, she could just manage one liter of bottled water.
LIFE WAS GOOD in the life of Roberta!!
Hearing of the Nude Beaches on the American East Coast, Roberta Decided to travel to America.
That’s where I met her, 2 days before Christmas 2007 on a Trans-Atlantic bullet train, heading from London to New York.
She brought the bottled water, one 2 liter bottle to be exact, and in me, she found someone who would listen to her story.

Wild Thing,
Step BACK from the computer. Call Wild Wife. Have HER call 911. Tell her to have them talk to you. They’ll know what to do.

I had been considering to vote for Kucinich in the primaries. The choice had been between him and Ron Paul. This endorsement is a disappointment. Obama may not be the war mongering messianic lunatic that the neocons use to continue their wars, but he is no champion of our rights and the Constitution either. My vote will now go to the last person still willing to stand up for my liberties.

If I lived in Iowa I would be leaning toward Gravel. He threw a stone in the pond.

today is the last day we have to hear that dreaded native american word ” iowa ” for at least 4 years!
DirtyDennis | 1/3/2008, 9:41 am EST
Wild Thing,
In August of ’65 I was making my way from South Bend to Denver and thence home to CA in my ’55 Chevy Bel Aire. Would that I could retrace that journey in that vehicle now. I chose U.S. 30 to avoid the commercials along the way. I still remember the awesome sight of miles and miles of the tallest corn I had ever seen, punctuated with clean, compact little towns. The name Iowa will always ring true to me.
“Is this heaven?”
“No, it’s Iowa.”
Delta Wild Man | 1/3/2008, 10:38 am EST
Heaven, Hell or Iowa!!

Its sad that Kucinich starts asking supporters to vote for Obama yes He made the right choice but when Edwards who sounds like a communist at times has a chance to win and Kucinich a real liberal doesnt shows how regressive the process is now.
Delta Wild Man | 1/3/2008, 8:49 pm EST
I guess no one caught on to the comment of ” If she walked real slow she could carry a 1 liter bottle of water ”
I cracked up on that one, almost could not finnish the post
Delta Wild Man | 1/3/2008, 8:53 pm EST
folks the fact of the matter is,
If men had vaginas they would make a sport on how much stuff they could stick into them..
Well Bill, I’ve got 3 battery packs, 2 flash lights and a canteen, what you packing??
Tom, I’m packing 250 feet of nylon rope, a extra pair of socks and 2 cell phones!!
Not one of you can deny that!!
DirtyDennis | 1/4/2008, 9:14 am EST
Wild Thing,
And I suggest that perhaps such folks be denied the right to vote.
Shifter,
You’re doubtlessly right, but it takes all kinds to make a village. It would be interesting to ‘populate’ our village by assigning the regulars with roles.
elisabetta | 1/14/2008, 8:22 pm EST
so what, everyone in iowa has a second choice. it’s normal. he’s just telling people who he thinks is the best one of the rest of them
the more i look into kuCINICH, THE MORE I REALIZE HE IS SO GREAT!
elisabetta | 1/14/2008, 8:24 pm EST
I’M WONDERING WHY ROLLING STONE DIDN’T MENTION KUCINICH AS ONE OF THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES ON THE FIRST PAGE??????????
ROLLING STONE, YOU UPSET ME.

Compare John Edwards’ platform with what the people need (and have said so), what all the other industrialized nations already have (universal health care), the opinions of people with serious environmental concerns (like scientists) and, also importantly, the Constitution (Terminating the illegal and engineered war started BY Bush and FOR the “Buddies of Bush”. (the right to declare war and raise armies rests solely with Congress…wait…what was that again?).
“Sounding like a communist” isn’t exactly the phrase I’d use. I would use the term “populist”, a word that is often spoken with derision in our democratic(?) society. Why one would deride a person in tune with the people’s wishes for the general good, escapes me, frankly. I like the ring of it.
I agree with you, though, about Dennis K. not having a chance. I’m sure he is very intelligent and very right about many things, but…he hasn’t the charisma of leadership about him, at least to me. His speaking ability is overridden by his mild-mannered tone. He looks insecure, and (I’m embarrassed to admit this) he reminds me of the last kid picked for dodge ball.
I thought that endorsement of Obama move was just off the radar …weird. Throwing your support to a “trial run” candidate was just an exercise in futility and a disservice to your supporters.
I think the true fight to the finish will be between Hilary and John. I might even take bets on it
The rest of this “race” is just pomp and circumstance and …and perhaps a little prestidigitation so that the repubs wont start taking potshots at Edwards this early…
