About that Zogby Poll…

11/28/07, 12:53 pm EST

The emerging consensus that the Zogby poll purporting to show Sen. Clinton trailing her Republican rivals is a piece of shit, based on dubious online methodology. I don’t claim to be a pollster, but anyone who follows politics will remember Zogby’s shitty election-day polling in the 2004 race.

In any case, this Gallup poll offers much better news for Hillary, and Democratic voters by extension. What’s consistent between the two polls, however is that Obama appears the more palatable candidate to swing voters.

Like all statistics, one or two incorrect results are insignificant in the face of large data sets. They claim an 85% correct prediction rate. This can be easily proven one way or the other by looking at their polls and then comparing that to the actual results, since both are well recorded. Testing their accuracy claim should be sufficient to determine how well they poll.

Clarification:

What’s good for Hillary Clinton is not necessarily good for Democratic voters.

Great. Thanks Tim, and RS, and MSM. Another article about Hillary. I think I’m actually starting to favor the bombardment of Hillary on the public by MSM. Maybe it will have the desireable reverse effect!!!

Zogby took a poll of 25,000 randomly picked potential voters, from 12 different parts of the country.
All participants were made aware of the poll only when called and had never participated in a Zogby poll before.
The participants were not asked who they intended to vote for, who they had voted for in past elections, household income, religious or political affiliation, race, sex or age, other than if they were old enough to vote.
Only one question was asked.
It was a YES or NO question.
Here’s the Question..
Have you ever given a $hit what people in blogs say about the Zogby polls??
A overwhelming amount of those who were polled said NO (97.5)
2% said (YES)
And 1.5% said they didn’t understand the question.
This was a UN-Scientific poll.
In other words, The United Nations would have agreed with the results of this poll IF
#1, There was any money in it for those who are in charge at the United Nations.
#2, If there are any nuclear programs that could be OVERLOOKED, If the Price Was Right.
#3, If it could be Anti-American and use as much American Money as possible in doing so.

Emerging Consensus | 11/29/2007, 2:10 pm EST

The only emerging consensus that the Zogby poll is flawed comes from Hillary’s talking points.

It’s the classic Clinton response; smear the other guy and make him the issue. They did it to Tim Russert after she flopped in the debate and now they are doing it to Zogby. Too bad Zogby is one of the most respected pollsters in the world.

Next time, do some research before you post the Clinton Kool Aid. read Zogby’s response and look at other polling trends.

You owe it to your reader’s to be more than partisan hack.
