Obama Hits Hillary’s Experience

11/27/07, 12:18 am EST

On Nightline:

The fact of the matter is that Sen. Clinton is claiming basically the entire eight years of the Clinton presidency as her own, except for the stuff that didn’t work out, in which case she says she has nothing to do with it.

There is no doubt that Bill Clinton had faith in her and consulted with her on issues, in the same way that I would consult with Michelle, if there were issues. On the other hand, I don’t think Michelle would claim that she is the best qualified person to be a United States Senator by virtue of me talking to her on occasion about the work I’ve done.

Given Clinton’s coyness about what exactly her White House role was, this certainly seems an effective line of attack. I wonder, though, if invoking his own wife isn’t going to strike a discordant note with some voters.

And then there’s this: Whatever you think of her, Hillary was not your average first lady. She has reasons to be vague about her experience — but they mostly have to do with the general election. The Democratic base would love to find out that, say, Hillary had in fact shaped the administration’s Bosnia policy. The reason she soft-pedals is because it drives a lot of middle American independents and Republicans bonkers that an unelected first lady would have had anywhere near that kind of power and influence.

It might come at the cost of her future prospects, but a little candor from Bill speaking directly to what Hillary’s White House portfolio was could make Obama look silly in a hurry.

Democrats shall loose because they fight like immature kids. The most immature is Obama.

The most matured is Ron Paul. He has realistic grasp why the world is like this because of US policies. He is very pragmatic leader and will be the world leader.

i was watching. Obama then goes on to admit that the top three democratic candidates for president have the least political experience. This is true.

If you want a president with a solid resume and real international policy experience then you want Bill Richardson, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden.

I really don’t know where anyone got the idea that Hillary has any experience running a country or a state or a city for that matter. Kucinich has more experience than her, so does Mike Gravel. Not to mention better plans for health care, trade and foreign policy.

Remember that whole, “who would you rather have a beer with” caucus query? See where that got us?

Nation: do your homework, research, read, vote with your head, vote with your heart but don’t vote based on polls, mainstream media reports or popularity contest results. We can’t afford to screw this up again.

Primaries start in six weeks, that means if you are not registered to vote yet, you need to do that THIS WEEK.

and ps amir, Ron Paul is great but there is no way in hell a republican is winning this race.

Noman | 11/27/2007, 8:33 am EST

Ron Paul is very pragmatic leader and will be world leader. Him very honestful.

Will he be a grammar leader too?

Love to hear some examples of his pragmatism at some point.

the thing about counting first lady as “job experience” is that it’s not a real job. nobody hired her to be first lady and, at the end of the day, she still has less experience as an elected official than obama.

oh… also she wants to continue the war indefinitely.

Neal | 11/27/2007, 1:46 pm EST

People should be upset that an unelected person wielded serious inluence in geopolitical affairs. That’s the job of elected officials.

DirtyDennis | 11/27/2007, 1:51 pm EST

So Neal, are the Joint Chiefs elected? Did you vote for Secretary of State? How about the MIC? Lobbists? They ALL have a big influence on geopolitics.

In point of fact, the people who have the MOST influence are NOT elected.

Delta Wild Man | 11/27/2007, 3:32 pm EST

Neal
You just keep doing what your doing, I got your point, and well made it was.
DD just has a chip on his shoulder because he lost the debate with me and he’s trying to take it out on you.

DirtyDennis | 11/27/2007, 3:52 pm EST

Wild Thing,

Just WHAT ‘debate’ might that be? And if I ‘lost,’ just who might have made THAT call? You?

Somewhere In the Middle | 11/27/2007, 4:34 pm EST

This is the same woman that supposedly had no idea Slick Willy was dipping his wick in every jar of wax but hers? I don’t care how little or how much “experience” she has, anyone that oblivious to the obvious ain’t getting my vote.

Folks, In case you were wondering,
Her Name is Madeleine Korbel Albright, in case you folks don’t know, She was President Clinton’s Secretary of State, First woman to hold the position.
Now I know, some people would like you to believe that Hillary Clinton held that post during her husbands presidency, But in fact, she did not.
However Hillary did rack up more sky miles because of her Poll Numbers.
Seems Folks over here liked it better when Hillary was over there.
I know, Madeleine did bring peace to the middle east with Israel and Arafat,
She singles handedly prevented North Korea from gaining nuclear technology that if gotten was going to be used for peaceful purposes like generating electricity and not building bombs.
God knows she prevented countries like Iran and Libya from getting nuclear tech for the same peaceful purposes.
But we can chalk all that up to Madeleine Korbel Albright, not Hillary Clinton.
Yes, It’s hard to remember just what Hillary did during those years. But I’ll assure you she did something!!
And that in itself makes Hillary the MOST qualified person to be a First Lady.
DD
It takes a village to raise a child, and as in most villages, they have a designated idiot,
I am in no way saying that you should fill that position, and I know you will agree that I should not fill that position, I’d like to find some common ground on whom you and I would agree the best person to fill that position would be.

DirtyDennis | 11/27/2007, 5:19 pm EST

Actually Wild Thing, I think Jimmy Carter had more to do with NK playing nice then Madeline. But you go on with your wild perspective, it keeps folks loose.

Kris | 11/27/2007, 5:20 pm EST

Wow… you Ron Paul fans should really look into his voting record. The man is scary! While I appreciate his support of the constitution, there is no way in hell Ron Paul should be president. Get a grip!

Read that post again, North Korea has nukes, but they are giving them up because of the pressure we’re putting on them, along with a few others.
Iran has nuke tech now, developed it under,, well you get the picture.

Deltawildlyimaginative: Dude, it’s official. You have turned into an amoeba afraid of its own shadow…….

ray | 11/27/2007, 10:50 pm EST

If its all about expereance it should be Robert Byrd vs Trent Lott.

Delta Wild Man | 11/27/2007, 11:22 pm EST

Coach
Why does North Korea have sanctions against it now??
What has North Korea tested to cause all those sanctions to be placed against it??
Why did the government of Japan consider re-installing a offensive/defensive navy, and why is Star Wars missile defense programs something that Japan along with a few other countries in that part of the Pacific are asking us for help on.
Did Libya turn over their nuclear programs to the IADA the moment we showed the world that we would go after nations who were developing WMDs??
And last time I looked, France, England, Germany and a few others are trying to get us to do the very same thing with Iran as we did with Iraq..
And by the way, Yes, that’s who’s going to benefit the most from our little excursion into Iraq and Iran..
I’m of the feeling that Europe needs to start fighting their own damn wars.. Defend their oil interests in the middle east with their own blood.
But we all know that’s not going to happen.. But there is another answer to this perplexing problem..
Let ISRAEL handle Iran.
Iran wants nuclear bombs,, Israel has nuclear bombs, why not let Israel send a few of their Nuclear Bombs to Iran, then maybe Iran wont want nuclear bombs anymore..
Problem Solved.
Oh, and by the way, If Jimmy Carter and Ms Albright were any good at what they did,, Think we’d be dealing with these problems so long after they “SOLVED” them??
Mr Carter no more brought Peace to the Middle East than Bill Clinton, George Bush Sr., Ronald Reagan or George Bush Jr will.
Given the Opportunity the Arabs will Kill all the Jews just before they kill all the Palestinians, then they shall start killing each other..
Don’t believe me, WATCH AND SEE!!

Jed Clampett | 11/28/2007, 12:59 am EST

this is funny, ‘North Korea has nukes, but they are giving them up because of the pressure we’re putting on them,’

I guess it has nothing to do with the US releasing that $20M of official’s private bank accounts a few months ago. You know, ‘we never deal with terrists’, unless it’s conveninet for us to do so… sort of like privacy laws and the such.

Or perhaps the fact that the tests they conducted on their fissile material was pretty much a fizzle, which put the credibility and reputation of the regime in a shambles along with what was left of it’s economy probably had no influence either huh?
Typical neo BS though, take credit for making a half assed attempt at fixing what they so thoroughly screwed up. It ranks up there with destroying the credibility and viability of government and then try to ’shrink’ it because its ineffective.

Delta Wild Man | 11/28/2007, 11:48 am EST

Coach
The Fact remains, Kim Jong Il was not making jello, right??
Carter & Albright might just have well been Laural & Hardy, for all they did.
Iran,,, Libya???
Two other countries that should have nuclear bombs??

Coach | 11/28/2007, 12:22 pm EST

Delta: I can’t take it anymore. WHY DOES THE UNITED STATES, THE ONLY COUNTRY TO EVER USE A NUCLEAR WEAPON AGAINST ANOTHER COUNTRY, GET TO DECIDE WHO GETS NUCLEAR WEAPONS??????????????????????? ??????????????????

You are constantly inferring, in this whole North Korea debate, that they’re breaking some sort of law. You bash the U.N. all the time, except when it fits your own fear-agenda, as in North Korea’s case.

Either ignore the U.N. or embrace it, but don’t villify it and applaud it.

If Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and Israel and China and Russia and Iraq(soon) etc., can all have nuclear weapons, then why can’t North Korea?

Please, for the sake of sane, fundamental debates, leave the fear mongering in your pocket. We heard enough of it during Reagan and have had it shoved down our throat for the last 8 years under Shrub……

Delta Wild Man | 11/28/2007, 3:29 pm EST

Coach
Could you see it in your kind heart to support my request to aquire nuclear weapons, for My Personal use??
I have never used nuclear weapons, and I don’t believe I would ever use them, BUT, I think I could sleep a lot better at night, knowing that somewhere in the back of my bedroom closet, I have enough nuclear bombs to destroy the surface of the planet…
As a AMERICAN, I have the right to bare ARMS don’t I??
Well I choose to bare Nuclear Arms.
What About that Coach??

Jed Clampett | 11/30/2007, 4:07 pm EST

and that is why nuclear weapons are insanity and a clear indication that we are diseased and not thinking correctly.

You have to be completely insane to think you could sleep better at night if you only had the means of destroying the whole world if someone attacks you.
Wonder where that kind of thinking comes from.

MAD ALBRIGHT SLYLY FOLLOWS IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF CHRIST
Mad Albright, holocaust survivor Korbelova, comes from a family of Marxist Czech Jews who converted to Catholicism; later, Mad continued to follow in the footsteps of Christ by converting to Episcopalianism, when she married Albright. By studious education and systematic ingratiation to leading men in government, Mad finally rose to the position of Secretary of State, in the notoriously brutal, corrupt, and immoral Leiberman Neo-Lib Clinton administration.
Asked about the deaths of greater than 500,000 Iraqi children, more than at Hiroshima, caused by the illegal Clinton missile attacks on Iraq, to the sole benefit of the condemned Israeli Judeofascist land robbers, Mad replied “…we think the price is worth it.”
