As always, America and Americans will come charging to the rescue with anything that is needed.

Behold Americans at their finest!
You can say what you want about America, but you can’t say we’re not a caring people.
Just something to watch, but let’s see how many countries step up to the pump, and for how much to help these people who have been hit so hard by the cyclone…
Let’s see how many Middle Eastern countries with their super bank accounts step up to the pump and whoop out a few billion to help get these wonderful people back on their feet again.
I’ll bet the oil users of the world will be disappointed, maybe we will learn something from this.
Just disappointed enough to start on that honorable road of making oil obsolete.

For once, let’s leave politics out of tragedy. Please donate if you can, perhaps not to this specific organization listed, but every bit helps.

did you know that not even a third of the pledged money for the indonesian tsunamy of christmas a couple of years ago has actually been donated?

Delta Wild Man | 11/17/2007, 3:34 pm EST

Jed
Yes I know..
And it’s a pitty it happens.
A lot of muslim countries will promise the world and deliver a great deal less than nothing.
Before this is over, we shall see a muslim unrest in the midst of this tragity

likroper.com | 11/17/2007, 10:33 pm EST

yes, but what human activity caused the cyclone? cyclones like that do not ‘just happen’ – there is always a cause and an effect…

Jed Clampett | 11/18/2007, 11:47 am EST

Though you might want to paint it as merely a ‘muslim’ phenomenon I think a little investigating may lead you to a couple of surprises as to who the biggest welshers are, particularly in this case, since Indonesia is a Muslim country.

Can you tell us where our GUBMENT keeps their time machine??

mikeky | 11/18/2007, 5:17 pm EST

why should anyone listen to a guy who can’t spell ‘tragedy’? or can’t spell anything else, for that matter. if you can’t spell, it means you don’t read enough. if you don’t read, then you can’t exactly be the most well-versed in matters. and we should care about this person’s opinion…why? mix in a little racism and some arrogance and you get…well, look downward in the comments. pathetic.

Yes, my spelling has a lot to be desired, I know,, but hay, not everyone can have the balls to spell words in more than one way.
I have problems with people who will wake up in the morning and not know what face they will be wearing..
I would question the sanity of anyone who can only spell words one way..
Yes, I am one who is not bound by the ropes of conformity..
Most of us who really live life to the limits don’t..
mikeky, when you decide to quit existing, and start living life, get back with me.
Until then decide what face you’ll be wearing before you go to bed, and wake up to a world that is unimpressed with you.

mikeky | 11/19/2007, 10:44 am EST

dude. put away the william s. burroughs books. he made sense (if you were high). you, however, don’t. i simply don’t care enough to parse your words and you don’t care enough to make someone else understand them. so…end result: i shrug and you make no impact. success!!

aykete | 11/19/2007, 2:08 pm EST

That’s right, mikeky. Some folks just call themselves “nonconformists” in order to mask their failings. It’s a ready-made excuse for being substandard. I didn’t make an A on that last spelling test? Well, I choose not to conform to that particular spelling. :) See? It’s easy if you try.

Remember, kids. Go to school. Stay off drugs.

89istheshoop | 11/19/2007, 3:43 pm EST

I AM UNBOUND BY THE ROPES OF CONFORMITY!! AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!! Good one.

Now: Back to your Silver Surfer comics and back issues of ‘Vampirella’. Oh, and see if you can get your mom to make us some Ravioli. And clean up your room.

mikeky | 11/19/2007, 5:49 pm EST

remember, folks: drugs are bad. they cause you to ramble about and say absolutely nothing. and then retire to your mom’s basement to ruminate on how clever you are. this is not to be desired.

druggs badd, for all you non-conformists. :)

likroper.com | 11/19/2007, 10:39 pm EST

is weed a drug?

mikeky | 11/20/2007, 12:05 am EST
