A Frank Endorsement

11/13/07, 7:08 pm EST

Barney Frank’s endorsement carries a lot of weight in smart, liberal circles. For America’s leading [out] gay politician to give Hillary his stamp of approval is a big deal:

I am particularly pleased by her commitment to reverse the economic policies that have created a situation in which as the country progresses economically, only a small number of Americans benefit. Her understanding of the need to implement policies that provide fairness for middle and working class people is very important. She has shown an ability to fight for progressive values in a way that is capable of appealing to the majority of our fellow citizens, and I believe that she is both politically and substantively the candidate best qualified to be our nominee.

Tim Dickinson writes than Ron Paul has “a goofy nostalgia for the gold standard.”

How many here think Tim Dickinson couldn’t even tell you what the gold standard is, much less why Ron Paul’s view on it — a view shared by Alan Greenspan, Ronald Reagan, and Steve Forbes, among others — is “goofy”?

well, for the nobility of full-disclosure, we ought recognize the family ties…ann lewis, hillary’s long time pancho, is cong. frank’s sister. and, how many administrations graciously allowed the gentleman from massachusetts to glide and sway on the floor of the east room with his partner? O.K.?
kudos…to myself for breaking the story at 5:29pm, est. stone ran it at 7:08pm, est.
where’s my pulitzer? where’s taibbi?

I know what the “GOLD STANDARD” is,, but I’m not telling, because I could be getting myself in a lot of trouble by letting everyone know what the Gold Standard is..
One time a fellow by the name of Alvin Fuzmucker, who used to work with Walden Kennedy, during the Reagan era, Told a newspaper reporter that he “thought” Lisa Wriggins was guilty as hell of sleeping with Danny Harper.
Well,, Danny Harper would not have slept with Lisa Wriggins because Lisa Wriggins is as kweer as a three dollar bill, and Danny Harper had a accident when he was 12 years old that would prevent him from “sleeping” with any woman, in regards to sex..
Guess who reported that Lisa Wriggins and Danny Harper had a think in the gossip section of the paper?? You got it,, Turk McKinney, the reporter who Alvin Fuzmucker was speaking too in a drunken state at Martha’s bar..
And what’s more important is,, Guess who got sued because he gave his drunken opinion on who’s been sleeping with who??
Judge Wallace Abernathy awarded Lisa Wriggins and the family of Danny Harper a little more than $575,000.00 after court costs and attorney fees.
Notice I said ” THE FAMILY OF DANNY HARPER ??
Danny Harper committed suicide after the new’s got out that he had lost his pecker in a milking machine accident back on the dairy farm his grandparents owned..
But that in itself is another story that I reserve the right to tell at a later date..

Within a few decades political families that are coallescing power around themselves presently will share near complete control of the bureaucracy and corporatocracy. Everyone else has to get a job.

I’m still pondering “smart liberal circles”… oxymoron? No, disqualified on a technicality. More than two words.

Coach | 11/15/2007, 11:41 am EST

Good one Doc Puke. Yeah, it’s all the liberals’ fault. They’re all stupid.

Anything else you can think of? Do you think it’ll be the liberals’ fault when people have to start migrating because of the heat, and then again because of the cold? Do you think it’s the liberals’ fault when we run out of usable water? Do you think it’s the liberals’ fault we’re still addicted to oil, instead of solar? Do you think it’s the liberals’ fault that the graduation rates in this country have dropped?

Nice try anyway, Puke.

place the blame for those things directly on the cause… humanity and its recent myopia towards each other and the planet they live in.
