I don’t care about emotion and rhetoric.

Give me Ron Paul… he’s got the record and the honesty.

Ron Paul 2008, no more dog and pony shows.

Either these folks are saying the same thing that they said to get elected in 2006, or the babies diaper needs changing in a bad way.

Behold the House, and it’s LEADER Nancy Pelosi!!
Behold the Senate, and it’s LEADER
Harry Reid!!

And Lest we forget a little more of the same before when the Republicans were in charge…

It matter not what party win’s the White House!!
I’ve got a funny feeling that
Preperation-H stock is going to skyrocket!!

Wow Olay, you stole my idea. I was about to say something about how these democrats aren’t spineless, just evil like their supposed counterparts. You beat me to it. Oh well.

Oh and ray, look up Obamas voting record. He has become famous for talking the talk, but not walking the walk. The number of times he hasn’t voted on important legislation is staggering.

Jeffery McNary

Thanks for confirming what I’ve been saying.

Folks, looks like the WILD MAN is in the MAJORITY!!

There be some changes around the corner folks.
And it’s about time too..
The business of Skrewing folks for the sake of power of politics is about at a end..
Start digging a hole because I just can’t think of anything that deserves it more

“Democrats express the most confidence in Sen. Hillary Clinton (57%) among the field of presidential candidates. Republicans rate Fred Thompson (27%) highest, with Rudolph Giuliani (26%) close behind.”

If that figure is correct, I am so completely disillusioned with my fellow americans. The names mentioned correspond to the same three names I fear most. It’s almost as if we americans only listen to what our candidates say, and not watch what they do.

Jed-
Point taken, but none of those you cited speak with as forked a toungue as Edwards, although Frist is a bit slithering.

Shapeshifter-
My disgust with Edwards does not rise to the level of political commentary. It’s a personal matter. It makes no difference which party he has aligned himself with. I don’t think about him in terms of him vis-a-vis his ‘counterparts.’

‘You’ make identifying a person by their body of work seem a negative. In the context ‘you’ provide, perhaps it’s so, but there are many different facets to the issue. Once we got over the ‘shock’ of DWM, it became unnecessary to comment on his every post. And from time to time ‘he’ says things with a certain resonance that softens one’s approach to ‘him.’ That would not have been possible had ‘he’ morphed into someone different with each post.

Moreover, ‘you’ seem to be an intelligent, articulate positer. Over time, with an identity, ‘you’ build up relevance so that when an issue is broached, ‘one’ can blend ‘your’ utterances with previous posts to add, or distract as the case may be, to ‘your’ argument(s). I believe this to be a positive for all concerned.

All in all, I would have to say that shapeshifting serves more to protect ‘you’ than ‘your’ arguments. But I find the ‘personalities’ of RS positers to be the straws to stir the drink and a shapeshifter fills a certain niche. Be forewarned, however, that in ‘your’ present guise, ‘you’ stand to be credited with that which ‘you’ do not deserve as well as possibly being discredited for the same.

As for me, I would like all claims to be based on merit, such as it is.

Excellent point, but don’t you think that inevitably what you are trying to avoid is bound to occur as the rest of us come to recognize your voice?

ray | 11/14/2007, 6:14 pm EST

Hillarys speech was less inspiring than Obamas, She made some good points, but this speech was not much different from Her others or Her answers in the debates. It wasnt bad but was not inspiring enough compared to Obamas.

ray | 11/15/2007, 4:11 pm EST

John Edwards, would be a great choice for attorney General. i hope Obama will nominate Him.
