As South Carolina Goes… So Goes the Nation?

10/2/07, 11:39 am EST

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham wants to give Iraqis 90 days to get their political house substantially in order, or face U.S. withdrawal: “If they can’t do it in 90 days,” he told Time, “it means the major players don’t want to. If they can’t pull it together in the next 90 days, I don’t think they are ever gonna do it. If they don’t deliver in 90 days, I will openly say the chances for political reconciliation are remote.”

This is big news. Graham is not someone you can paint as a cut-and-run, MoveOn Republican. But I do fear that “90 days” may become the new Friedman, whereby the most minimal progress three months from now allows Graham and his cohort to reset the clock for another 90 days.

To change the subject, are WalMart and its many many stores being sued for not providing the blind with adequate store literature/facilities for the blind?

I am curious as to how other stores measure up under scrutiny.

Funny, how WalMart sponsers so many networks. Amazing, Considering.

Hope every store complies-they all need to…

DWM-

So you see Nazis everywhere, too!
Sh! Be careful, you might make Bush and Cheney nervous-they have reason to be afraid of their own shadows…And look in any mirror, you could be one of ‘em…

Cake,

Are you suggesting (gulp) that Walmart might have redemptive qualities?

If you are looking for redemptive qualities of Walmart, think about the fact that any positive change they make is multiplied over the entire Walmart economy. Their flourescent light-bulb policy is a great example.

I’m not familiar with it.
