Darth Cheney: The Anti Gore

6/27/07, 1:10 pm EST

The latest in the Washington Post’s Pulitzer-bound series on Dick Cheney’s abuses of power and discretion tackles his hands-on role as the nation’s Environmental Degradation Czar. “Leaving No Tracks” makes it clear that it was Cheney who killed 70,000 imperiled salmon in Oregon by undermining the integrity of federal science so as not to place restrictions on agribusiness’ use of water.

And it was Cheney who demanded EPA rubber stamp the administration’s illegal New Source Review standards that would allow oil refineries to renovate and expand without bringing ’70s era pollution controls up to date — leading Christine Todd Whitman to resign.

This report dovetails perfectly with the portrait of Cheney as the Anti-Gore on climate painted in the latest issue of Rolling Stone, in which Whitman told America of the VP:

“The environment and energy issues were really turned over to him from the beginning.”

The anti-gore, I would consider that a compliment. The more anti-gore the better.

Dick Cheney, is the worst VP since Aaron Burr. Burr killed Alexander Hamalton Cheney is killing civil rights and the enviroment. In this next election the nominees for V.P. should be looked at closley.

Dick Cheney is, at LEAST, the anti-gore. It’s a weird deal, with this psycho. He’s actually been planning this stuff for a long, long time. Sad thing is this: He’s accomplished his goals no matter what happens in 2008. Relieve industry of regulations. Relieve government of regulations. Give full, unquestionable power to the President. Plant western oil in Iraq for years, and years to come. Blow up 2 countries (and counties) to enrich his cronies in Halliburton, KBR, Blackwater. And, find a way to politicize the justice department and supreme court. His paw prints will be on us for years to come. Forget what the terrorists have done for just a second, and try to think what the millions of innocents think of us. Millions, and millions of people around the globe look at us as invaders because of this guy’s policies.

Alright, we’re talking about a guy who argues that the vice president isn’t bound by rules applying to the executive branch, an argument that reverses 200 years of thinking about the nature of the vice presidential office.

According to Cheney, he should be answerable to no one. I find it hard to believe even the most die-hard cons would support a notion like this; after all, what if Hilary Clinton were vice president? She could do anything she wanted and you would have no idea what the hell she was doing. Scared? Then clamp the chains on this V.P. or your worst nightmares will come true…

more like the anti-democracy, anti-ethical spawn of some foul demon. Not only immersed in the dark side of the force, this guy is a complete totalitarian who should be removed from any position of influence. And his puppet the POTUS as well.
Are these guys even terrestrial? Do they not care it is their homeworld they are selling out for the sake of greed and lust of power?
Do these guys have a direct line to xenu or are they ignorant to the true nature of their masters?

My God you people are obsessed. Whatare you goingto do once Cheney packs his bags and leaves Office? You’ll have to create some other nasty demonic figure to push your pins into.
