By Job: Gore’s Biblical Smack Down of Sen. James “Big Lie” Inhofe

3/22/07, 4:39 am EST

Without a doubt, the highlight of Gore’s Senate performance this afternoon was his righteous smackdown of bible-thumper and leader of all things global warming denying, Sen. James Inhofe:

I say to Senator Inhofe, I don’t prostelytize my own beliefs, but all religious traditions hold to the same teachings: That the Earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof. That the purpose of life is to glorify God, and you cannot do it while heaping contempt on God’s creation

Global Warming is Real, mOstly.

Maybe not to the degree Gore wants it to be.

However, Gore was asked to sign a personal energy ethics pledge. The pledge was presented to Gore by Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member of the Environment and Public Works Committee.

The result? In short, Gore refuses to take the pledge.

Al Gore uses quite a bit of energy to power his Tennessee mansion. He spends a great deal of cash to make certain his house is quite comfortable. He tries to justify that by noting that he purchases ‘green energy.’

It was exposed recently that the Gores spent $30,000 a year on energy for their suburban Nashville home and burned 221,000 kilowatt-hours last year, or 20 TIMES THE NATIONAL AVERAGE.

Is this do as I say, not as I do? Everyone should contribute, including Al Gore.

There is mounting evidence that Global Warming, while not exactly “a big lie,” has been distorted to fit Gore’s political agenda. I am very concerned about the harm a Gore presidency would cause to the US economy. Further, as it becomes clearer just how far off the mark and disegenuous he has been, I believe that a Gore campaign would guarantee a Republican win in 2008.

I’m afraid that’s mankind’s role in global warming has been exaggerated. The real concern should be about the growing pollution problem.

If Inhofe is so sure that global warming is a myth, then lets see him prove that the bible isn’t. I’m just asking from him the samething he asked from Gore, to prove his beliefs are true.

AnnCoulterneedsamouthfulofcum You hit the nail on the head. Mr. Inhofe is living in the fantasy world, nothings wrong, don’t fix it. Inhofe is a no talent ass clown.

Gary Jacobs,

The 20x more energy Gore uses…if it’s renewable, it doesn’t matter if he uses 20x more, now then, does it?

What a pathetic smear attempt that was. He spends extra money to invest in renewable energy and the spin machine says “he spends way more money on energy than anyone else”.

Fools.
