Good fucking riddance Saddam, you pig.

No matter how you feel about the war, this man’s death is a good thing for a lot of people.

By the way RS, I guess this article falls under the category of “if it doesn’t bash Conservatives, we don’t have anything to say.” Funny that you spend a dozen articles talking about Mark Foley’s ugres for younger men, but have absolutely nothing to say about a mass murderer to the highest degree. I guess your priorities will always stop you from actually caring to write any bit of good journalism you could possibly muster. Good work. When can I get the video of Tim pissing on Gerald Ford’s casket?

I would agree that Saddam had to go, but I think America has missed out on the best conceivable strategy for making a withdrawal from Iraq with a perception of it being an “honorable” withdrawal (for the benefit of people who care about such things, both at home and abroad).

Namely, by killing Saddam ourselves and handing him over to the Iraqi govt. in a very public way, one too public to be ignored. It would be such an affront to their desire to be taken as sovereign and independent, they’d have no choice but to order us out, or lose political face.

We could have a rhetorical justification for it, of course—we could say that we didn’t want the Shiite-controlled govt. doing it because it would make for too much friction with Sunnis.

And once they told us to leave, we could head out the door at warpspeed, never looking back. Anybody who questioned this could be reminded we always promised them renewed sovereignty and independence down the road—”and THIS IS ‘DOWN THE ROAD.’ “

Republicans, stop using every tragedy(Ford’s funeral) to insinuate a very unheroic Bush into the situation.

Ford was very open about his disapproval of the “War in Iraq” or Bush and Halliburton’s and big oil companies to create “a war” for profit in a country that did not threaten us, did not have WMD’S and, we have an unending “Quagmire” that gives control and power and money to Bush and his Oil friends.

Now, we see Bush pushing his way into the Ford’s personal and public mourning, Bush trying to get America’s Sympathy Vote by making sure the Hussein Execution happened just before the Congress is about to do some very important Investigations into his “War”, “policies” and who profitted off all the mess Bush created.

Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, should also be included into these investigations.

Rove, also has been the schememaster in all this fraud, death and destruction.

Seeing Bush push himself into the Ford’s grieving process and funeral is disgusting…

Have a strong feeling that Ford or any other sane politician did not and does not agree with anything Bush has perpatrated on the American people, the Iraqi people and, our Country…

The sudden rush to Execute Hussein just before the Investigations concerning the Bush push for War, the profiteering, the bungling and profiteering off Katrina have lots to do with the “Urgency” to go “Execute” Hussein-maybe stir up more unrest in the MiddleEast and, take the focus off of the Investigations that Need to be done.

Didn’t 9/11 happen just as the “Election 2000″ and, the Enron setting U.S. energy policies happen as soon as the “Republican-led” “Investigations” were just about underway?

There is a pattern that is as Ugly as Bush and his Black Heart…

Why was that Hanging not on Pay Per View?

Jed Clampett | 1/2/2007, 12:09 pm EST

It’s all a little too neat. He gets hanged, the other investigations become moot. Finally, all that happened is blamed on the dead guy that can no longer speak for himself and point the finger at other who helped him. Rumsfeld with anthrax spores and incubation equipment, the french with contracts and seed money as well as necesary chemicals.
Now, they will say the tyrant is dead, won’t bother hunting down the enablers and chronies and will leave all those wealthy, powerful individuals to grow a healthy new democracy.
YEA RIGHT!!

Nope, he’s doing his job. If he didn’t make an appearence at Ford’s funeral, you would call him an aggorant, self-centered prick. Pick a side because blind hatred is not a legitimate side to be on.
