From Chapter 16 of the Walsh Iran / Contra Report:
Owing to his senior status in the CIA, Gates was close to many figures who played significant roles in the Iran/contra affair and was in a position to have known of their activities. The evidence developed by Independent Counsel did not warrant indictment of Gates for his Iran/contra activities.

man, that was one long nightmare of 6 yrs!
I don’t even care if the democrats win the white house in 2 yrs now as much as i had. but it would be sweet to have all those liberal causes forwarded again with these holier-than-thou right-wing RepubliCan’ts are out of the way.
Time for the govt to care for the poor and working class once again.

here’s how stupid bush is:
1. a military man (Hayden) leading the CIA.
2. a CIA man (Gates) leading the military.
…unless the Democrats do their job and vote NO! Gates is nothing but another member of the Bush family crime syndicate.
