- From San Fransisco’s beautiful Treasure Island, surrounded by Democrats, fog and the media, Schwarzenegger announces America’s first cap on greenhouse gases. Blair, Pataki speak highly of the bill.
- In an awkward-lookin’ Rose Garden press conference, Bush begs reconciliation between Afghan and Pakistani Presidents, urging the combative world leaders to set aside their border beef and link up in the terror war. Neither gentlemen speak, or for that matter, match.

Using the word “murder” implies malice and intent. I think your choice of verbage is a slap in the face to Steve Irwin’s life efforts and I’m sure his family would not approove of you making a stingray out to be bad.
It was an animal, it was an insodent or accident, not murder!

that’s true Henry, animals don’t murder, that is a phenomenon specific to humans. Steve knew the dangers of getting close to deadly animals and got close to them so we would understand them rather than just ‘murdering’ them for sport or out of fear.
The stingray only knew there was a big animal getting way too close, without being a mind reader, it did what it’s instinct told it to. The fact that it struck the heart is merely a lucky shot… or unlucky, depending on your point of view.

Good Folks
A lot of good folks have checked out this year. Mr. Irwin would seem to merit being at or near the top of that list. I didn’t watch his shows too much, but I did feel a fondness for the ‘chap.’ His passing strikes as did John Denver’s. The world is a lesser place because of it.
Not sure who chose the word murder, but it IS vastly inappropriate. I’m sure Mr. Irwin would have been offended. I read the account in the link. Sure touching. I say let the man rest in privacy and burn the tape.

Way to be assholes RS. Steve Irwin was a good guy who really cared about saving animals and educating people about them. You have one mode to your articles: insult and lie. Try and be respectful when dealing with certain things, eh?
