Katrina, A Year Later

8/29/06, 12:39 pm EST

A year ago today, the New Orleans’ levies broke and the Crescent City began to drown.

A year ago today, president Bush scrambled from his Crawford Ranch… to share birthday cake with John McCain on the Senator’s 69th birthday in Arizona.

As 30,000 American refugees hunkered down in the SuperDome, Bush then journeyed to Rancho Cucamonga, California to deliver a vital address:

The purpose of coming here today — thank you all for doing this, by the way — the purpose of coming was to encourage — (applause) — the purpose of coming was to inform as many folks as we can, obviously, in person and on TV, that Medicare has been strengthened and Medicare has been modernized, and that if you’re really interested in helping a senior, or a senior helping yourself, look into this plan, look into what’s available.

The government has an obligation to our seniors to provide a health care system. We have done that for years. Now we took it upon ourselves to make sure the health care system we provided was strong and modern. And we have done that….

I want to thank you all for giving me and Laura a chance to come back to Rancho Cucamonga. It’s a beautiful place you got here. We appreciate your hospitality. May God bless you all. Thank you.

Someone is projecting, again……

Is your name really George W. Bush, too?

Poor thing, what a name to be strapped with….

Tell us, dear, how grown up you are, how the President of Empty Promises rings your bells and, how an administration that is fouling our country, is “winning” anything(cheating elections doesn’t count).

“What will we tell the children?”

To become “President” you have to cheat, lie and steal.

Wars are for profit and tragedies for exploitation and photo-ops…?

When George swears on camera, that he is a terrific example of Mr. Christian?

That the wealthy need to make their profits off illicit wars with no basis, and off the backs of the middleclass and poor….?

Poor guy-sorry you got saddled with “George W”….

You sure that supporting Bush means a vote for Christianity and eternal salvation…

That’s not how my bible reads…..

Think, again….

Cheat, lie and steal hmm? Sounds a lot like Clinton and for that matter the man who really tried to steal the election Al gore. The election process has most likely been screwed up for a very long time and our pal Al knew that he could exploit this when he lost. Who is to say that any of the recounts that found some votes for Al was on the up and up? This is all so rediculous! ALL politicians lie. And certain (liberal against conservative and vice versa) media are going to do whatever they can to bring about their downfall. Bush didn’t steal any election so get over it. He didn’t lie about WMD’s in Iraq. Many other countries got it wrong also without relying on our intelligence. They are probably in Syria. I’m not saying he is a great or even a good prsident but the same old tired rhetoric is getting very stupid. History will judge this man and his policies and administration and one group will be able to gloat and the other will still be making excuses.

Whatever,
You said,”History will judge this man and his policies and administration and one group will be able to gloat and the other will still be making excuses.”

This is very true. However, history is written by those in power. If we allow the “Blindly faithful” to continue to”lead” this country for years to come, your so-called history will judge an incompetent, dishonest, vengful, and extremist president as being the “savior” to the American way of life. And that is something I have a huge problem with. Because, his view and the christian right view of the American way is not what the rest of us see as the TRUE American way.

C Co – you said “Oh wait, he couldn’t do that. HE HAS A JOB TO DO!” – And what is that job? Oh yeah, he is our war president. He hasn’t got time for domestic issues. He is the world’s top sales producer for war supplies. Keeping America’s war machine in motion is good for the economy, good for his buddies. War is our biggest export. Lots of employment. Good turnover of product. And an endless supply of customers if you spin it right.

Some posters have shown the most unenlightened blurbs and stone-cold lack of concern for anyone that became a victim of Katrina.

Federal inaction and lame excuses
by an administration devoted to helping their corrupt big business slurpy’s and allowing the poor and middleclass to fend for themselves and rob them of the means to do it…$$$$$$$$???

Watch real estate developers and Halliburton walking away with the billions allocated for Katrina victims…..

Watch out for Karma-it can put you in a sad and similar situation no matter how “special” you think you are…..

Only hope there are more documentaries about Katrina-Bush never looked so out-of-touch and disgusting(Lots of other examples of his failures and disasters)…

Think it is time for America to stop having to pay for Bush’s horrible blunders/deliberate ignorance of Americans rights and needs….How low can Bush go? …..

Let Them Eat Cake | 9/27/2006, 2:01 am EST

Some people need to step into the real world-not have “Daddy” to pay for their “success” and stop listening to Repuge Rhetoric on “Blindly Following Bush”….

Gee, George is not mentioned by name in any bible I’ve seen…..

And look at the hole Bush and his Republican “friends” have dug for us-reminds one more of the “Other” place and the guy who trolls it….(And I don’t mean Rove, this time)…
