“No one is against wiretapping suspected terrorists. The question is how to bring this program within the law.” — 2008 contender Sen Joe Biden (D-Delaware) responding to the ruling that Bush’s warrantless NSA wiretaps are unconstitutional.

I’m no fan of Biden–far from it. However, the quote you provide, however delightful, is taken out of context. The preceding paragraph of the Chicago Times article states:
“Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) said the decision “confirms the doubts I have had about the program’s constitutionality ever since I first learned about it.” He urged the White House to work with Congress to make changes to the program.”
Read in context, I think it is clear that Biden agrees that the program is unconstitutional, and needs to be brought within the confines of the Constitution.
Are there many RepublicoFacists in Congress and elsewhere that think a law passed by Congress will make constitutional that which is unconstitutional? Absolutely. Is Biden one of them? Maybe–but that’s not what he said.
Let those of us who believe that FauxNews is nothing more than the modern equivalent of a Goebbels propaganda organ be careful not to emulate Faux by taking things out of context.

I completely agree. However a ton of liberals want no wiretaps at all, including for terrorists. I thought his quote was plenty in context and the fact that far left wingers want to interpret it to make it something it’s not, is sad.

There are terrorists among us. How does the dictionary define the word terrorist?

C Co-
So glad you know the heart of every liberal…
Grab a clue, we are far more cautious and careful than the conservatives-who seem to love declaring war and wire-tapping the opposition party-gads, the insecurity that abounds in the Republican Party….
Even they know they have no plan or solution to any relevant issue-which explains the sequence of events since the reign of King George….

I’m from Michigan, JackD. And I’m not far right at all; not even right, in fact. I know a moderate liberal from a far left extremist liberal. A main reason I know: Guess which one is the well-rounded sucessful individual who doesn’t live on pot in his mom’s basement. No, seriously. Of the successful liberal people in this country, how many of them are more moderate and how many are more extreme? There is no comparison.
People like Cake (extremist lib) blame everyone else for the world’s problems, refuse to look at situations from all sides, and refuse to acknowledge that we are ALL part of the problem. They are content with having a scapegoat and ending the issue right then and there. Cake would have us do nothing for the rest of the world. And then, when we don’t do anything, he’ll blame us for that. People like him just want to be mad at something. That’s also why they have no solutions; because if they did, and it failed, they couldn’t blame other people. That is what a far left liberal is. And these are the kind of people who have hijacked the Democratic party. The days of Clinton are long gone. People with actual views and stances are being cast aside by the Democratic party for angry, rhetoric spewing bigots.
And the sad thing is that the Dems don’t realize what they’ve become and what they’ve lost. I agree with Democratic principles a lot of the time, but I can’t stand the party because of who is representing it. Blaming Bush for everything (CAKE!) doesn’t represent my views on anything. I don’t love Bush, but I respect that he’s trying to present solutions to problems. HE MAY BE WRONG (HALF OF PEOPLE ALWAYS ARE), BUT DOING SOMETHING IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN BLAMING OTHER PEOPLE AND DOING NOTHING YOURSELF. Call me when the Democrats find an idenity again and stop acting as hostages to people like Cake.
