Dean’s comments on Katherine Harris strike me as no big deal. What IS deeply troubling is what Dean said about Iraq:

“We don’t need to spend $200 and $300 and $500 billion bringing democracy to Iraq to turn it over to people who believe that Israel doesn’t have a right to defend itself and who refuse to condemn Hezbollah.”

To claim that the US is in Iraq to bring democracy should eliminate any illusion that Dean is part of an enlightened faction within the Democrat party. Dean has now made clear that he is no more independent of the multinational oil cartel than Hillary Clinton, George Bu$h, and Dick Cheney.

Why do we care what Coulter has to say. She’s a right wing fanatic just as Michael Moore is a left wing fanatic. They are both fairly smart, but they choose to spew angry rhetoric all day. Coulter gets critized more because she’s conservative, and therefore, an easier target. Never the less, I don’t give a damn what either has to say.
