DeLay: He’s Baaaaack?

Tom DeLay

Time magazine reports that Tom Delay will run for the former Texas House seat from which he retired in disgrace earlier this year — if a court ruling that his name must remain on the ballot stands.

This would set up a battle royale between the redistrict-er and the redistrict-ed. DeLay’s opponent would be Demcrat Nick Lampson, a former House member whose district DeLay ‘disappeared’ through partisan gerymandering. May the best former Representative win.

I’m so proud of DeLay’s accomplishments. Face it, the average Texan is a dumbass–our current president excepted–who doesn’t deserve the right to make their own electoral decisions. Allowing Texans the opportunity to vote for a non neo-con candidate is like flipping a coin. There’s at least a 50-50 chance they’ll choose wrong, probably even greater than 50-50.

I hope that DeLay is returned to Congress and allowed to redistrict the entire country. It’s imperative to the health of our country’s threatened democracy and continued war on ‘Terra’ in Iraq that neo-cons be given even more power to further cement our nation’s righteous course. A course we need to stay.

Bill OLielly breaks my heart!!
I remember being tought in middle school that equilibrium of opinions in congress was very important. It was important because too much of one thought of thinking would allow our nation to be ran with out worrying about “check and balances.” So when i read about someone wanting to discredit so many voters opinions by being pro for “redistricting the whole country,” it saddens me that whomever wrote this isn’t more open-minded and objective.
