Cast-off monsters find kindred spirits in each other in the new animated video for Wilco's "Sunloathe," which comes from the band's 2011 album The Whole Love. Torch-wielding cats force a hooded robot out of its house, a burly knight brandishes a sword at a creature that crawls out of a fissure behind castle walls and there's some kind of weird forest beast, too – all of whom are united, despite the song's title, by the beauty of a glorious sunrise. Directed by Peter Glantz, the video features more than 100 original drawings by illustrator Nathaniel Murphy, who doubles as a drum tech for Wilco's Glenn Kotche, and is half of the synth duo Loft.
