We Were Promised Jetpacks On getting up early for SXSW gigs

Scottish band are still getting used to Austin festival

Scottish quartet We Were Promised Jetpacks are SXSW veterans, but they're still adjusting to some peculiarities of the festival. "It's sorta strange to be playing a gig at 12 in the afternoon when you've just got out of your bed," says guitarist Michael Palmer. Though the band are eager to see other acts, they haven't had much luck yet. "We were in line for Tenacious D, but they made us go away."
