Watch Jordan Peele Recreate 'Nutzoid' James Brown Interview

Comedian nails famous 1987 Brown clip

Jordan Peel recreated a "nutzoid" James Brown interview from 1987.

"I'm about to show you a recreation of a crazy James Brown interview," Jordan Peele announces at the beginning of his latest clip. "It's totally nutzoid, and it's word for word."

In 1987, Brown was accused of assaulting his wife with a lead pipe and shooting a gun at a car that she was riding in. After getting out of jail on a $15,000 bond, the singer conducted a wild interview – full of indiscernible mumbles, cheerful non sequiturs, singing digressions and jokes about his own song titles – on TV before he headed off to tour South America. Peele attempts to reconstruct the conversation in meticulous detail, mimicking Brown's dress, mannerisms and even his dancing.

The original interview has more than six million views on YouTube. Peele is not the only artist thinking about Brown's interview lately. JUNE, the recently released mixtape from the rapper Hak (formerly a member of Ratking), samples the clip in the song "No Days Off."
