Watch Eminem, Danny Brown and More Detroit Natives Rep City in New Video

Big Sean, Royce da 5'9" and more join veteran rapper in Motor City love letter

On Friday, Eminem dropped a video for the guest-heavy SHADY XV track "Detroit Vs. Everybody." Featuring Royce da 5'9", Big Sean, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf and Trick Trick, the song is an ode to the vet rapper's hometown as much as a showcase of some of the city's newest and most rapidly rising talent.

The video, announced Thursday night by Eminem's manager Paul Rosenberg via Twitter, is a black and white clip filmed around the city, displaying shots of cultural landmarks, local stores and a number of Detroit citizens.

Each rapper offers their own take on growing up, getting out and never getting over the Motor City, with Eminem taking the final verse and announcing "I can't never leave this bitch." Newest star Dej Loaf rap-sings the hook, which includes the line "I swear I love my city / I just want a little." Producer Statik Selektah is the only non-Detroit native associated with the track.

Released November 24th, Shady XV is a career-spanning compilation featuring some of the best tracks released over the course of Shady Records' 15 years as well as new offerings from the label's artists. Eminem has come under recent controversy for numerous lyrics from the new tracks, including violent comments made towards Lana Del Rey and a Ray Rice reference.
