Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto tapped into his acting knowledge and cinematic spirit for the band's short film centered around their new song, "Up in the Air." Directing under his Dr. Seuss-inspired alias Bartholomew Cubbins, Leto guides Damien Hirst, Dita Von Teese and U.S. Olympic gymnasts McKayla Maroney and Jordyn Wieber in a series of striking visuals connected by the extravagant track.
"This short film is quite unlike anything we have ever done before," Leto told Rolling Stone earlier this week, calling it "an epic, bizarre and hallucinogenic journey through a incredibly surreal landscape." "Up in the Air" will be on Thirty Seconds to Mars' upcoming album, Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams, out May 21st.
