Though there isn't much about the New Pornographers' music that screams "sci fi!," director Jon Busby was nevertheless inspired to create a video for "Up in the Dark" that's basically nothing but astronauts, starships and outer space. There isn't much connection between the song and the imagery, but the music and visuals are strong enough on their own to compensate for the mild disconnection.
