On mastering street performance

Charles Rangel of the Dime Store Novelist explained how he turned to street performance as a way to raise money for his band backstage at Rolling Stone's Rock Room day party. "I don't have a lot of money, basically," he said. "I started street performing to get gigs for the band. I could bring in a crowd of like, 20 people, play some cool shit them and leave and do it again for eight hours a day."
