The Big Sleep

Brooklyn-based band The Big Sleep will release their full-length album, Nature Experiments, on January 31st. The Big Sleep's Danny Barria says that their self-shot video for the album's lead single, the anthemic "Ace," had high elements of danger in it for bandmate Sonya Balchandani.

Random Notes

"'Ace' was filmed on a series of borrowed flip cams over the course of a few months," Barria says. "We tried to get a shot of my car rushing at Sonya with the flip cam taped to the front – she'd jump out of the way at the last possible second – but it was cold out, and the camera died without capturing any of it. She risked her whole life for nothing."
