Australian psychedelic rockers Tame Impala made their American television debut on Friday night's episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The band played a mesmerizing, reverb-heavy rendition of "Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind?," a track from their 2010 album Innerspeaker. Though the processed guitar tones and echoing vocals are typically the most ear-catching elements of their sound, the band's rhythm section was especially impressive, knocking out an insistent, urgent backbeat that gave shape to the more dreamy, ethereal treble tones.
