There is an undeniable sense of innocence in the video for Sondre Lerche’s new single, "Go Right Ahead." Shot during the summer outside of Oslo, Norway, the clip features scenes of singer-songwriter Lerche alternating with whimsical shots of youth culture – a scattered collection of My Little Pony figurines, dancing face-painted girls, experimental make-out sessions.

"The song sorta relives teenage insecurities and the feeling of being stuck in limbo between these two different versions of yourself,” Lerche tells Rolling Stone. He says his wife, Mona, who directed the clip, approached it from a female point of view, where sexuality and self-image are critical. And the lighting, softened by the natural, sunny setting, works seamlessly with the sugary pop sentiments of the track.
