Silversun Pickups have come a long way from their humble indie beginnings but, despite their growing fame, the L.A. alt-rockers still sometimes need time to themselves. In this clip for the Neck of the Woods cut "The Pit," the band rips through a raw, no-frills rehearsal at Mate's in West Hollywood. The clip also reveals glimpses of the band's pre-show rituals, including hanging with their dogs.

"Looking at this footage now brings back a jovial feeling. Right after the hubbub of the new record release and right before we put thousands of miles under our belt touring it, there was this little sweet spot," the band tells Rolling Stone. "No grand gestures. No big reveals. We're just playing our song."
