After performing a session in the Rolling Stone office, Patrick Stump talked about how he attempted to emulate the ornate syncopation of Timbaland on his solo debut Soul Punk by playing every part of complicated rhythms himself in the studio, and how striking out on his own compares to being part of a hugely popular band like Fall Out Boy.
