Questlove, the go-to drummer and DJ in hip-hop, has lots of love for the Beastie Boys, as he explained to Rolling Stone at the trio's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in Cleveland this weekend. "I'll say that the Beastie Boys are probably one of the biggest influences on the Roots," he raved. "Back when me and my cousin would listen to Power 99 [FM] and they’d come to Philadelphia, we thought they were Puerto Rican…they had to be Puerto Rican, 'cause there were no way white guys rhyme like that, or talk like that!"
