Slowdive co-founder Neil Halstead is gearing up for the release of his latest solo effort, Palindrome Hunches, out September 11th on Brushfire. Check out this intimate clip of Halstead performing the bruised-heart song "Spin The Bottle," shot by friends Lee Evans and Adj (Andrew) Brown in their hometown of Newquay.
"Gen, my wife, and I were having some problems and we eventually split up," says Halstead, recalling the song's origins. "When I wrote the song I was hoping we might be able to find some way to figure things out. It's about rediscovering that initial spark, about getting past all the work and kid stuff; the day-to-day shizel and just opening up to the person you love."
