Peter Gabriel has spent the last two years resurrecting his landmark 1986 album So at venues all across Europe and North America, and this week he's releasing Back to Front - Live in London, a Blu-ray and DVD/CD that captures a gig at London's 02 Arena in 2013.
The set features a complete performance of So alongside other hits ("Solsbury Hill," "Shock the Monkey"), deep cuts ("The Tower That Ate People," "Family Snapshot") and "Daddy Long Legs," a brand new track he premiered on this tour. There's also a bonus documentary, The Visual Approach, about the creation of the tour. Check out our exclusive preview of "Mercy Street."
Peter Gabriel resumes the Back to Front tour in early November for a month-long series of shows in Europe. His plans beyond that are vague, though he did agree to sit down with the 1970s lineup of Genesis for a new interview in a BBC documentary. There's no indication this will lead to any sort of Genesis tour, though earlier this year he refused to 100 percent rule it out.
"I never say never," he said backstage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. "It really didn't happen last time. I think there's a small chance, but I don't think it's very high."
