Passion Pit took over the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City for a special hour long set for Live on Letterman, making up a gig originally scheduled for a year ago: "But we made good, we're doing it now," said frontman Michael Angelakos before he and the band jumped right into "I'll Be Alright," off their latest LP Gossamer. Songs off that record made up the bulk of the set, with Passion Pit filling the room with the shimmering bombast of "Carried Away," the gooey grooving "Constant Coversations" and the thumping "Cry Like a Ghost." The band also touched on Manners classics like "To Kingdom Come" and, of course, "Sleepyhead," closing out their set with a rousing rendition of "Little Secrets."
