The members of One Direction get sentimental in the video for "Story of My Life," the second single from their forthcoming third record Midnight Memories. The clip, directed by longtime One Direction collaborator director Ben Winston, finds the quintet developing and poring over photographs from their early lives. As they sing in a cavernous hall filled with hundreds of pictures, close-ups show each member coming to life in photos with their families.

In one, a young Niall Horan is playing violin and then he grows into his current age with his highlighted hair, putting the violin down. In another, Harry Styles looks up at his mother. And in the most heartrending one, Louis Tomlinson is pictured with his grandparents and great-grandparents—the picture shows each growing up, and eventually the elder grandparents fade away. By the end of it all, each member is looking wistful as he belts the song's chorus.

Midnight Memories is due out on November 25th. Previously, the group released the first single, "Best Song Ever," which features a resemblance to the Who's "Baba O'Riley," and Pete Townshend has even said that he likes the song. The record is coming hot on the heels of the concert movie One Direction: This Is Us, which did quite well at the box office when it opened in September.
