One Direction made the most of their gig as musical guests on Saturday Night Live last night, in their second run on the show. After making an appearance as part of Nine Direction, singing an a cappella rendition of "Afternoon Delight" with the cast of Anchorman 2 during Paul Rudd's opening monologue, the boys also put in some time at the end of another skit featuring Rudd as a middle-aged One Direction superfan.

Of course they also sang a couple more songs, performing two tracks from their freshly-released third studio album, Midnight Memories. For their first set, Harry, Zayn, Louis, Liam and Niall took the stage to trade off lead vocals on the album's second single, the gently rootsy "Story of My Life." They returned to put their harmonies to the test with the live debut of the similarly Mumfordesque "Through the Dark."
