Nick Cave Dreams of Miley Cyrus in 'Higgs Boson Blues'
Bad Seeds release new album 'Live From KCRW'

What do Robert Johnson's purported deal with the devil and Miley Cyrus in a fever dream have in common? In the inimitably fertile mind of Nick Cave, they're both prime examples of the futility of existence, despite the best efforts of our brightest scientists. "Higgs Boson Blues" makes the recent, roundly celebrated discovery of the subatomic particle the unlikely linchpin of the showcase track from the punk crooner's latest album, Push the Sky Away. The song appears in an intimate performance on Live From KCRW, a live album released on CD and vinyl for Record Store Day's "Back to Black Friday" and available today for digital download. The video for "Higgs Boson Blues" premieres here.

"Hannah Montana does the African Savannah," the veteran explorer of the darkside rumbles near the finish of his band's eight-minute postmodern (hell, post-hope) "Blues." "Miley Cyrus floats in a swimming poool in Toluca Lake / And you're the best girl I've ever had / Can't remember anything at all." Not that it would matter, apparently.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds recently announced a North American tour for mid-2014, beginning in Louisville, Kentucky, on June 16th and ending July 31st in Toronto.
