Miley Cyrus Knew VMA Twerk Would Cause Controversy
Singer intended to keep people talking for 'two weeks'

Apparently there's a method behind the madness of Miley Cyrus' twerking antics. In the trailer for the upcoming MTV documentary Miley: The Movement, viewers get a behind-the-scenes peek at the life of the wild child, and her thoughts about reinventing herself prior to her now-infamous performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Miley Cyrus' 'Bangerz' and 25 More Must-Hear Albums This Fall

The clip features Cyrus backstage at the VMAs just before showing America what twerking really means, complete with giant teddy bears and Robin Thicke. "You might as well make them talk for, like, two weeks, rather than two seconds," says Cyrus.

The hour-long documentary will air on MTV on October 2nd. Cyrus will release her new album Bangerz on October 8th.
