New doc offers rare glimpse of Rolling Stones' songwriting process

Back in the spring of 1965, the Rolling Stones embarked on a quick two-day tour of Ireland, much of which was captured by the camera of filmmaker Peter Whitehead. The result , Charlie Is My Darling: Ireland 1965, was the first documentary on the Stones, though movie was screened for the first time ever this past September, and was just released on DVD. One of the highlights from the film is this clip of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards writing the Stones' 1966 single "Sittin' on a Fence" in a hotel room, offering fans a rare look at the duo's songwriting process.
