North London singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka took the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater last night for his U.S. network TV debut, playing the steady rambler "I'm Getting Ready" on The Late Show With David Letterman. After opening for Adele last year, Kiwanuka just finished up a quick string of U.S. tour dates and is gearing for the July 31st Stateside release of his debut record, Home Again, on Communion Records, the label co-founded by Mumford & Son's Ben Lovett. Check out our recent interview with Kiwanuka, where he talks about recording Home Again, his hip-hop past and the influence of The Last Waltz.
