Blige turned up on both episodes of American Idol this week, first to mentor the show's fledgling singers, and then last night to perform "Why," the latest single from her album My Life II . . . The Journey Continues (Act 1). The tune features a guest verse from Rick Ross on the album, but Blige delivered a fine rendition without his assistance.
