Facing down a bank robbery, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine gets courageous in the confusing new video for "Payphone." Levine is a shy bank employee with a crush on a coworker, but when masked men storm the building with guns, Levine steps his game up, interrupting the heist by stealing an assailant's gun and turning the tables on the robbers.
With their next album, Overexposed, Levine hopes Maroon 5 will redefine their sound with their most danceable record yet. The energetic chorus, glossy pop production and smooth Wiz Khalifa guest verse on "Payphone" certainly suggest working with outside writers has infused Maroon 5's music with a fresh dance club sound. Overexposed is due June 26th.
