Lonely Island, Alanis Morissette Team Up on 'Kimmel'
Canadian singer gives comedy trio a grammar lesson

The Lonely Island teamed up with Alanis Morissette for a nerd-fest last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where Morissette offered some grammatical assistance to the comedy trio on a mash-up of their "Semicolon" with her song "Ironic." Morissette interrupts the joke-rap troupe to let them know that, technically, they're using semicolons incorrectly, and follows it up with a lesson in using irony as a literary device.

Return to Lonely Island

"Semicolon," which features Solange on the studio version (and in the video), will be on the Lonely Island's upcoming release The Wack Album, which is due June 11th. The LP also features contributions from Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar with Adam Levine.
