Lana Del Rey made her national television debut last night on Saturday Night Live. The singer performed her viral video hit "Video Games" as well as "Blue Jeans," two songs off her forthcoming album Born to Die. Del Rey is one of the rare singers ever to perform on Saturday Night live before the release of a first major label album. The last to do so was Natalie Imbruglia in 1998.
"I may not have a record out now," Del Rey told MTV News earlier this week, "but I have been singing for a very long time, and I think that Lorne [Michaels] knows that, and everyone over there knows that. It's not a fluke decision."
Born to Die is due out at the end of January on Interscope.
