Kanye West Furious About 'Kimmel' Spoof
'Finally, I'm in a rap feud,' late-night host jokes

Kanye West aimed a stream of Twitter invective at Jimmy Kimmel last night over a skit that aired earlier this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live poking fun at a recent interview the rapper did with the BBC. The spoof put children in the place of West and interviewer Zane Lowe for a "Kanye Kid (Re)Kreation" that included pint-sized actors interpreting a transcript and sipping milkshakes.

West was decidedly unamused. "JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS," the rapper tweeted last night in the first of a string of all-caps missives that included insults, an attempt at real talk, more insults and an appeal to see things from West's perspective. (Read more of West's tweets, and see the skit that offended him, below.)

Kimmel said last night during his monologue that West called him before yesterday's show to demand that the late-night host publicly apologize. "He told me on the phone, and I swear to God this is true, he said, 'I am the most powerful voice in media,'" Kimmel said. "He said, 'You will never be able to show your face at a 14-year-old's high football game and be cool again.'"

The late-night host said he wasn't sure why West was so angry at a bit that Kimmel called "pretty innocuous," but the host found a silver lining: "Finally, I'm in a rap feud."
