John Mayer has a new video for "Who You Love," his duet with on-again-off-again (but right now definitely on-again) girlfriend Katy Perry; and the only word that can describe it is "Yee-haw." Off Mayer's latest release, Paradise Valley, the clip finds Mayer and Perry serenading each other and flashing some lovey-dovey eyes. We're also treated to some super slow-motion shots of couples riding a mechanical bull. As far as metaphors for relationships go, this one's as sweet as it is corny – but hey, who are we to be cynical when all these couples look so darn sweet getting thrown off a fake animal?
In his recent Rolling Stone interview, Mayer spoke candidly about his relationship with Perry. "For me, it's about how being with anybody is settling," he said. "You can really hear the joy on 'Who You Love.' We're celebrating, like, 'We give up! We give up – it's you.' And that's oddly romantic, in this day and age, I think." Perry's appearance on "Who You Love" isn't the only guest spot on Paradise Valley, with R&B singer Frank Ocean lending his vocal talents to "Wildfire" (Mayer appeared on Ocean's 2012 breakout Channel Orange as well).
Tonight, Mayer will wrap the second leg of his headlining U.S. tour with a show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The tour kicked off back in July and was the his first in three years after undergoing two rounds of surgery to repair an inflammation in his throat.
