Janelle Monae Lets Loose in 'Dance Apocalyptic'
Singer's new video is part of a conceptual short film

Janelle Monae lets loose and lets her hair down in her new video for "Dance Apocalyptic." Dressed down in all white, wild hair and jewel-toned accessories, Monae performs the song and dances onstage surrounded by an all-female band of musicians and dancers. The video is an excerpt from the short film The Dance Apocalyptic, set in an alternate version of current-day America.

"Dance Apocalyptic" will appear on Monáe's upcoming album, The Electric Lady, which is out on September 10th through Bad Boy/Wondaland/Atlantic. The track will also be featured in her Cover Girl commercials.
