Recent Band to Watch pick Jake Bugg stopped by Conan last night to play a cut off his new album, Jake Bugg. The 18-year-old belted out "Two Fingers" with a spooled-out drawl that powerfully burst open when the band joined in.
Though he hails from England, Bugg points to many Stateside influences, including Bob Dylan and Don McLean. "Jimi Hendrix is probably my favorite guitarist," he told Rolling Stone last month. "When I'm listening to him, it's inspiring but also disheartening because, obviously, no one will ever be able to play like Jimi Hendrix."
