Iggy and the Stooges Pound Through 'Job' on 'Colbert'
Band also plays 'Burn' from new album 'Ready to Die'

It took Iggy Pop a mere 30 seconds to leave the stage when he and the Stooges performed last night on The Colbert Report: Wearing a fluorescent yellow construction vest, the leathery singer strutted past the monitors to confront the crowd directly while the rest of the band churned through "Job" behind him. Vest long since discarded on the floor behind him, Iggy engaged the crowd, letting a handful of audience members sing the refrain with him.

Iggy and the Stooges Are Ready to Die

The band stuck around afterward to perform "Burn," another song from their new album Ready to Die, the first Stooges LP to feature guitarist James Williamson since Raw Power in 1973. Colbert (now wearing Iggy's vest) introduced them again, cracking, "Iggy, this time, please put some effort into it."
