Hear It First! Jo Mersa Marley Releases 'Comfortable' Remix

Bob Marley would be proud of his grandson Jo Mersa, Stephan Marley's eldest son. He's been honing his talents as a songwriter and producer since he was 11 years old, has toured with his family, and is releasing his debut EP Comfortable next Tuesday, June 10.

Yahoo Music is excited to premiere Jo's "Comfortable Remix" from the EP, released on the Marley's Ghetto Youths International (GYI) imprint. The slick dancehall track incorporates hip-hop scratching, a melodic Auto-Tune chorus, and rap verse from Wayne Marshall.

The original version of "Comfortable" is featured on the GYI compilation Set Up Shop Volume 1, released last year. Jo, who just wrapped a stint opening for his father's Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life Tour, is honored to carry on the family's legacy.

"My father calls my grandfather a magician because he was the only man who could bring peace to his country [during Jamaica's deadly political skirmishes of the 1970s] and that's a lot of power, influence. It's magic, but I don't let it get to my head," Jo said in a statement. "He made a big step for Jamaican music and it's time for me to add my works to it, to build on it. I am just getting started; I am just getting Comfortable."
