Just days before the September 24th release of Green Day’s documentary ¡Cuatro!, the band shares a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at their collaborative process. This exclusive video finds Billie Joe Armstrong piecing together the demo for "Missing You" (from 2012's ¡Tre!) in his home studio before bringing it to bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool for completion.

"Over the last year, while we were recording our trilogy, we posted multiple clips every week so fans can see parts of the recording process of ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!," Dirnt said in a statement. "¡Cuatro! brings our fans one step closer by giving them even more access and revealing what it was like for us to make these records."

¡Cuatro! was directed by Tim Wheeler, who previously shot Green Day's "Let Yourself Go" video. The film premiered earlier this year at the South by Southwest Film Conference and opened this year's Newport Film Festival. It will be released digitally and on DVD on Tuesday.
